Samsung is building a new 5.5-Gen AMOLED plant, and today they tell us how much they're spending on it: $2.2 billion US. In the press release, they also say that the plant will go online in 2012 (we thought it'll be sooner in 2011). The new plant will have 3 lines (1300X1500mm).
Apparently they're gonna use the new plant for larger OLED TV panels. Just yesterday, their OLED R&D VP said that "large sized OLED TVs are viable".
