China's First-O-Lite says they developed the world's most efficient OLED module that can reach 111.7 lm/W. The company developed several new technologies to reach this efficiency level, including a deep blue phosphorescent system, an electron transport material, new coating materials and process and external optical materials.
First-O-Light says they also developed a simple and inexpensive coating method and materials. All those technologies enabled them to reach a light extraction efficiency of up to 80% in their so-called EES-OLED lighting device. The company is using a volume-production process and has built a production line with a capacity of 20,000 square meters.
